TEACHERS
The significance of
education has never been minimized because education has a crucial impact on
the people's lives. Especially, two factors are very important for children's personal
development which are their parents and their teachers; therefore, children get
their knowledge firstly from their families and than their teachers. Nevertheless,
it can be alleged that children spend more time with their teachers than their
families. Hence, it is not an undeniable fact that teacher's role is so
important in the classroom since the interaction between teacher and student is
the primary determination of student success. If classroom activities are taken
into consideration, teachers can be divided into two groups which are idealist
teachers and inefficient teachers.
To start with, everyone
meets at least one idealist teacher in their education lives. Idealist teachers
devote themselves to education and their students. This is because teachers not
only shape their students academic careers but they also affect the life of all
their students. Firstly, idealist teachers should develop effective teaching
methods so as to enhance the quality of education by keeping track of current developments
and considering innovations with respect to their lesson. Secondly, before the
class, idealist teachers prepare extra materials, presentations and so on, in
order to address the needs and interests of students. In addition to them, idealist
teachers undertake voluntary responsibilities during the formal and informal
educational processes and activities both at school and in the classroom
because they should be active during the their professional lives.
Secondly, according to
some people, teaching is one of the most suitable jobs to make money by working
less because teachers have long summer holidays; moreover, most of the teacher
candidates have chosen faculty of education for this reason. Furthermore,
graduating from faculty of education is not enough to be efficient teacher
since only theoretical knowledge is taught at university. As a consequence, these
type of teachers are inefficient to teach during the class yet, unfortunately,
there are a lot of inefficient teachers in public schools in Turkey.
All in all, teachers
were classified into two different groups as idealist teachers and inefficient
teacher because teachers have a great influence on students' achievements. Therefore,
teachers devote themselves to education and their students' success.
Dear Ayşe, first of all, I really liked your ideas about the ideal teachers and your essay in general. However, there are some mistakes that you should correct:
ReplyDelete1)“Determination of a student’s success” or “of the students’ success “ (first paragraph, 8th line)
2)Everyone is a single pronoun. So, “ everyone meets … in his/her life” ( second paragraph, first line)
3)Since you started to give some advice to idealist teachers by using ‘should ‘ it may be better to keep on with your advice with ‘should’ in the succeeding sentences as well. If you are just describing how idealist teachers are then you should omit the ‘should’ in the first sentence. (second paragraph, 4th line)
